Our Mission

Autism Partnership of Island County (APIC) strives to improve identification of and care for children with autism. We are parents, teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, counselors, early intervention specialists, physicians, developmental psychologists, and ABA analysts. This website summarizes the steps for the journey to diagnosis, coordination of treatment services, and supports for families in our community. This database is periodically updated.

APIC is a group of professionals, advocates, and parents in the community who volunteer their time, resources, and expertise. APIC would like to thank its sponsors for their contributions to this website:

  • Toddler Learning Center, Executive Director, Rene Denman

  • Island County Parent-to-Parent, Tiffany Wheeler-Thompson

  • Connections Psychology, Dr. Julie Davies

  • New Eve Creative Web Design, Marianne Borozny

  • American Academy of Pediatrics, CATCH (Community Access to Child Health) Planning Grant
